Verification confirms a company’s identity and profile data. It is separate from tier and from ranking position — none of the three implies another.
TopChoice Verified means a company’s core business identity and profile data passed our published verification checks: a legal or registered business identity (or equivalent evidence), a working official website and contact channel, confirmed Malaysia location or service coverage, and a clear category fit.
TopChoice Verified does not mean TopChoice guarantees the company, certifies its service quality, endorses it, or that it paid for a better rank. It also has no effect on organic rank position.
Not Yet Verified is a neutral status, not a negative judgment — it means a company has not yet completed our verification process, nothing more.
The two statuses
Core business identity and profile data passed the published TopChoice verification checks — legal entity, operating status, contactable business address and official website.
The company has not completed the full TopChoice verification process. This is not a negative quality judgment, and it does not affect ranking position.
Verification is never sold. Paying for anything on TopChoice does not grant, accelerate or influence a verified status.

What does TopChoice Verified mean?
It means a company’s core identity and profile data passed the checks described on our Verification page. It is an identity check, not a quality guarantee, and it has no effect on ranking position.
What is the difference between rank, tier and verification?
Rank is a company’s position within one ranking edition. Tier (A, B or C) reflects how strong the evidence is against that ranking’s criteria. Verification is a separate check on a company’s identity and profile details. The three are independent: a verified company can sit anywhere in a ranking, and a high rank does not imply verification. Do you take payment for listing, verification or a better position?
No. Listing, verification and ranking position cannot be bought, and paying does not move a company up. Any commercial relationship that does exist is disclosed under our Commercial Policy.
Can a company pay for a higher rank?
No. Ranking position is decided by our published criteria and is never for sale. If a page ever carries sponsored or featured placement, it is labelled as such and kept structurally separate from the ranking order. See our Commercial Policy.
