Accounting Ranking Methodology
This category is ranked using a Bayesian-adjusted Google rating score — a confidence-weighted average that prevents a company with very few reviews from outranking an established company on a small-sample high average. Score = (v/(v+m)) × R + (m/(v+m)) × C, where R is the company’s Google rating, v is its review count, C is the category mean, and m is a minimum-votes threshold (15).
Candidates were identified through business search and then screened against their own official website for category fit; businesses whose own site did not show them primarily operating in this category were excluded before scoring. This is an interim, single-signal methodology — it does not yet incorporate service capability, certifications, or pricing transparency.
